It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Judith Claire MacIntyre, 73, who passed away suddenly at home in Irish Vale on Monday, April 25, 2016.
Born November 11, 1942 in Sydney's Northend, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Walker) Christopher.
She was an NDP supporter and a member of the Sacred Heart parish of Johnstown.
Judy is survived by her husband of 52 years Charles MacIntyre and their children Charles James, Courtney, BC; Judith Charlene, Edmonton, AB; and Terrence Hector, Marble Mountain; grandchildren Shaughn, Janessa, Madison, Evan and Katherine and brother Terrence Christopher, Ontario.
She was predeceased by an infant son Joseph John in 1964.
Visitation for Mrs. MacIntyre will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Friday at T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown with Fr. Anthony O'Connor officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney.

Mrs. Judy (Charles) MacIntyre
We the family of the late Mrs. Judy (Charles) MacIntyre wish to extend our
gratitude for all the love and support shown to us during our recent
bereavement. We appreciate the many sympathy cards, Mass cards and memorial
donations in Judy’s memory. A special thank you to the pallbearers Terrence
MacIntyre, Charles James MacIntyre, Frank MacIsaac, Alex MacIntyre, Jerry
MacIntyre and Lorne MacIntyre. My sincere gratitude to the CBRM police members
Keith Power and Dave Browner who extended compassion until early morning. To
the funeral director Annette Graham for going that extra mile and the entire
staff of T.W.Curry Parkview Chapel; to Rev. Anthony O’Connor for the prayers
and Funeral Mass, and Fr. Joe Gillis and Fr. Paul MacGillivray for their
compassionate words. A special thanks to Michael MacDonald for the fiddle
music and my brother Carl for the piano selections at the Mass and the
Johnstown Sacred Heart choir for the beautiful hymns. Thank you to John Pronk,
Fred Myatt and the staff of the Big Pond Fire Dept., the EHS ambulance from
St. Peter’s and the 911 operator and the extended service of the ER staff for
their professionalism and pleasant service. Thank you for the three large
flower arrangements from Judy’s brother Terry, from Billy MacKinnon’s extended
family and from Morguard, Edmonton. We are forever grateful to you all.
